Angela Sawano also gives demonstrations and lectures on ikebana and Japanese culture. Examples include the Royal Academy of Arts in London and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

She and her students received the gold medal at the 2003 Chelsea Flower Show for their Ikebana exhibit.
